| 45-75 Winchester; 60% blue, poor bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, This Model 1876 late model 2 carbine was manufactured in 1879. The front sight is a blade and the rear is a notch style. The top of the barrel has the two line Winchester address and patent info. The left side of the barrel has three insp proofs. The sliding dust shield with the thumb print is intact. The insp plate on the left side of the receiver has LONDON ARMORY / JAS KERR & CO / 54 KING WM. ST.EC *James Kerr & Co were armorers to the National Rifle Association and were agents for the Winchester Co. The metal finish has spotting and is dull on the receiver with very mild patina. The receiver has a saddle ring and the upper tang has Model 1876 The butt plate has mild patina also. The walnut stock and forearm are in good condition, with several mild handling marks, s/n 89xx |
