The top of the round barrel is stamped WINCHESTER’S REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN CT. / KINGS IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29, 1866 – OCTOBER 16, 1860. And on the barrel at the breach 44 W.C.F. The tang on the receiver has MODEL 1873 The brass cartridge elevator has 44 Cal. And the bottom tang has S/N 398452 The metal condition is thinning overall, with scattered spotting. The walnut forearm and the buttstock have several handling marks and dings, nicks. The buttplate is a crescent style with a trap door complete with the original cleaning rods., s/n 3984xx |
