| 30-06 Cal; 80% blue, very good bore, good stock, 23.75'' barrel, Winchester receiver with the original barrel shortened to length and recrowned. Eddystone bolt assembly. The barrel has been fitted with a Lyman ramped front sight with hood and a Williams elevation adjustable rear sight. The receiver bridge has been milled down removing the original military rear sight and ears. The receiver is drilled and tapped on top for scope mounts, these holes with plug screws have been cleaned up to hide. The right side of the receiver bridge has four holes drilled and tapped for a sight since removed with plug screws installed. Mounted in a sporter checkered walnut stock which has had the cheekrest on the left side sanded down. There is an area on the right side of the stock under the bridge which has had filler added to cover a recess for a previously attached receiver sight. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling and a tight muzzle, showing light frost in the grooves. There is a 1 inch crack behind the receiver tang. Jaeger adjustable trigger installed. FFL, s/n 3811xx |
