| 30-06; 94% blue, Good bore, Very good + stock, 26'' barrel, WINCHESTER M1917. THIS IS A VERY EARLY WINCHESTER WITH THE DEEP BLUE FINISH ON THE RECEIVER AND BARREL. ALL THE PARTS THAT SHOULD BE WINCHESTER ARE. THE REAR BAND AND TRIGGER GUARD AND FLOORPLATE HAVE TURNED PATINA. THE WINCHESTER BARREL IS DATED 7-17, THE BORE HAS DISTINCT RIFLING AND IS MOSTLY BRIGHT BUT HAS LIGHT OXIDATION. THE WINCHESTER MARKED STOCK IS VERY GOOD WITH SEVERAL LIGHT HANDLING MARKS MOSTLY SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS. THESE EARLY WINCHESTERS WITH THE BLUE FINISH ARE VERY HARD TO FIND AS MOST WERE LATER REFINISHED WHEN REARSENALLED., s/n 23xx |
