| 44 WCF; good bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1916. Original blue finish, only about 30% remaining on barrel. Original plaint walnut stock, appears to have been lightly sanded long ago. Original fixed front sight and ladder rear sight. Oval proofs on top of barrel and frame. Barrel stamped on the left side with the Winchester address and 1884 patent date in two lines, caliber marking near the frame. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF.". Light spotting over all on metal. Complete and mechanically fine. Bore has strong rifling and is bright, showing some light pitting. C&R/FFL, s/n 8160xx |
