| .22 SHORT; 70% blue, fair bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Manufactured in 1890. It is a Low Wall Rifle and is chambered for .22 Short, it has a Heavy Octagon barrel. The metal finish on the barrel, has slight edge wear and mild thinning. The edges have scattered nicks. The front sight is a blade, and it has a buckhorn rear sight. The receiver has almost no case color remaining. The bore has corrosion and mild pitting. The walnut forearm and buttstock are in good condition, but the buttstock has a piece missing at the upper left corner of the receiver. The crescent buttplate has scattered patina. The action is a Falling Block with an Ejector and is tight. The rifle has original wear. Not bad for 132 yrs. old., s/n 447xx |
