| 32 WCF; fair bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Manufactured in 1889. Full octagon barrel with fixed front and buckhorn rear sights. Full length magazine tube. Plain walnut stock with crescent butt. The top of the barrel is roll stamped in two lines "WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. / -KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29, 1866. OCTOBER16, 1860.". The caliber designation appears on top of the barrels chamber "32 W.C.F.". The upper tang is marked "-Model. 1873-". The serial number is located at the end of the lower tang. The bottom of the brass cartridge elevator is marked "32 Cal.". The originally blued finish has aged to an overall even blue/patina mix with light spotting overall. The wood shows its age with old handling dings and scratches but no major damage. Mechanically fine. The bore has corrosion throughout with prominent rifling. Antique, s/n 3104xxB |
