| 44 RF; good bore, good stock, 27'' barrel, Third model, manufactured in 1870. Blued finish barrel with three iron bands, upper band with bayonet lug on the right side. Brass frame. Walnut stock, buttstock has been sanded. Brass buttplate with trapdoor. Fixed front and ladder rear sights. Original sling swivels. Barrel markings are visible, Kings Patent type. The barrel has many old dings and scratches from prior removal or replacement. The rear lower tang screw and buttplate tang screw are stripped. Mechanically fine. The bore has some scattered pitting. Antique, s/n 425xx |
