| 45-90 CAL; 98% blue, fair bore, good grips, 26'' barrel, RESTORED WINCHESTER 1886 1'ST YEAR OF PRODUCTION, 1 OF THE FIRST 100 MADE CHAMBERED IN 45-90 WCF IN ANTIQUE EXCELLENT CONDITION AS RESTORED. ALTHOUGH RESTORED WE BELIEVE THE SERIAL NUMBER 72 TO BE CORRECT. THE REDONE BLUING IS EVEN THROUGHOUT. THE FAIR BORE HAS WORN BUT STILL DISTINCT RIFLING WITH OXIDATION PRESENT. THE WALNUT BUTTSTOCK HAS A SMALL SLIVER OUT AT THE LEFT TANG ALONG WITH THE START OF A HAIRLING CRACK AT THE LEFT REAR TANG. THE FOREARM HAS A LARGE SLIVER OUT OF THE RIGHT FRONT. THE UPPER TANG SCREW IS A REPLACEMENT. THE ACTION IS SMOOTH AND TIGHT., s/n 72 |
