| 7.5X55 MM; 75% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30.7'' barrel, SWISS M1896/11 INFANTRY RIFLE WITH MATCHING NUMBERS IN ANTIQUE FINE CONDITION. THE RIFLE WAS ORIGINALLY A MODEL 1896 RIFLE MADE AT WF BERN IN 1898 AND LATER CONFIGURED AS A M1896/11 BETWEEN 1912/1920. THE RIFLE WAS PRIVATIZED IN 1938. THE BLUING SHOWS HEAVY OXIDATION ON THE RECEIVER, REAR BARREL, TRIGGER GUARD ASSEMBLY ALONG WITH HEAVY OXIDATION ON THE MAGAZINE. THE BORE IS MIRROR BRIGHT WITH VERY GOOD RIFLING. THE STOCK IS SOLID SHOWING NUMEROUS LIGHT DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS ALONG WITH A A REPAIRED CRACK IN THE HANDGUARD. COMES WITH A SLING AND MUZZLE CAP., s/n 2326xx |
