| 7.5x55mm; 98% blue, excellent bore, very good+ stock, 30.75'' barrel, Manufactured in 1908, converted from earlier 1889/96 rifles to the 1896/11 pattern 1912-1920. Original blued finish, walnut stock and handguard. Matching bolt, magazine, buttplate, lower bolt knob, lower band and upper band (numbered inside). Includes the attached original leather sling, maker marked and dated 1932. Right side of the stock is stamped with the Cross in Shield proof. The weapon number is stamped on top of the stock heel. "P" private purchase marked on the receiver. Overall in excellent condition. The stock appears to have been lghtly sanded leaving the proof and weapon number just slightly faint. There are a few scattered light handling marks on the wood. The top rear of the receiver has 3 light scratches in the blued finish. One of the cleaner overall examples of the 1896/11 rifles we've gotten over the years., s/n 3282xx |
