| 22 LONG RIFLE; 90% blue, excellent bore, fair stock, 23'' barrel, 1889 rifle manufactured in 1893, converted to 22 caliber single shot, 23" barrel installed. Blued finish, walnut stock and handguard. Matching bolt and buttplate. Modifed 1889 magazine with a sprung follower tray installed, marked "DEPOSE WH". The stock shows some handling and has cracks on both sides of the wrist running forward from the end of the tang. Tangent rear sight graduated 100-1500 meteres. Leather sling attached. Mechanically fine with a bright sharp bore, having a bit of fouling which should clean out fine. Antique., s/n 1620xx |
