| 8 Gauge; very good bore, good stock, 37.25'' barrel, Manufactured in England. Browned Damascus barrels, casehardened lockplates and hammers, mounted in a checkered walnut stock. Marked on each lockplate "WARD & SONS" with some simple scroll leaf engraving. The top of the barrel rib is marked "LONDON FINE TWIST". Ramrod is a replacement. The rear of the barrel rib has a hole drilled and tapped. The barrels have been rebrowned over some scattered tiny dings and minor pitting. The stock has a straight grip with steel buttplate and the forend is held with two wedges. Mechanically fine. Antique, |
