| 45-70 Govt; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 32.75'' barrel, Near Mint example with original blue finish, casehardened breechblock and walnut stock. Complete with an original leather sling in excellent condition as well. Original cleaning rod present. 1889 date cartouche on the left side of the stock. The metal finish shows some minor sharp edge wear on the trigger guard, thinning on the hammer thumb piece and wear on the high points of the buttplate, and a few minor scratches on the lockplate. The breechblock and tang retain most of the case color. The stock has a few scattered minor handling marks. The action is excellent and the bore is sharp and bright. If you are looking for the best possible example you would be hard pressed to improve on this all original rifle. Antique., s/n 4580xx |
