| Lot of four (4) items: U.S. WW2 aerial gunners sterling silver wings with sterling chain. WW2 U.S. navigator sterling silver pin back wings, missing one clasp. Small 5" diameter bowl from Hickham Field in Hawaii, made by Mayer China and also marked "WILLIAMS EQUIPMENT CO. LTD. HONOLULU, T.H.", good shape, no cracks or chips. Consignee states it survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor, and was taken by GI survivor who passed in the last decade. And lastly a Short Snorters marked 1 U.S. dollar silver certificate 1935 which has several autographs from various G.I.'s with their s/n's. These bills were a tradition started by people traveling together mainly on aircraft, sometimes shipboard, used as a good luck charm and souvenir. |
