| 54 Cal; fair bore, good stock, 8.5'' barrel, Manufactured by I.N Johnson after leaving H.Aston & Co. and setting up his own factory. Metal in the white with brass mounted walnut stock. Marked on the side of the lockplate forward of the hammer "US/I.N JOHNSON" and at the rear of the lockplate vertically "MIDDTN/CONN/1855". Top of tang is stamped "849". Top of barrel is stamped "NWP/P". Consignor notes state some parts aftermarket. The bore has some rust. The stock is overall good however there is a small crack on the left side between the barrel and upper tie plate screw. Mechanically fine with a crisp action. Antique, |
