| 6.5mm Daudeteau; 90% blue, good bore, good stock, 31.5'' barrel, Uruguayan contract Model 1871 Mauser rifle, converted to 6.5x53.5mm Daudetau in France circa early 1890s. Uruguay sent their store of M1871 single shot Mauser rifles to France where they were rebarreled for the new chambering and restocked by Societe Francaise D'Armes Portatives in St. Denis. That companies marking is located on the top of the barrels chamber. The original date 1881 is stamped on the right side of the receiver. Mechanically fine. Arsenal refurbished with blued metal finish, walnut stock. Non-matching bright bolt. Original cleaning rod and leather sling. Antique, s/n 896xx |
