| Description: |
| 8x56mmR; 80% blue, good bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Austrian Steyr M.95 carbine fitted with a telescopic sight and nazi proofed. Original blued finish. Elm stock and handguard. The bolt is not numbered. The stock has two non-matching serial numbers located on the left side with the matching serial number stamped on the right side of the butt. The left side of the handguard is stamped with numbers beneath the rear sight "197" and "73" with an additional illegible number. The upper band is numbered and non-matching. Nazi proofs appear on the left side of the receiver, stick "eagle/WaA", once forward of the serial number and twice after the serial. There also is what appears to be a small Czech lion proof on the right side of the receiver ring at the wood line. The front scope base has been soldered with pitted overslag and some heat discoloration on top of the receiver ring, with a double claw dovetailed block. The base seems to not fit the angles of the barrel chamber very well, however it is solid and lined up fine. The single claw rear base is installed with 3 screws and fits the receiver well, the stock relieved for the base. The rear base is serial numbered and matching the rifle with a nazi "eagle/WaA" proof. The single claw block attached to the scope is serial numbered and matching the rifle, with an additional nazi "eagle/WaA" proof. The block is maker marked "H. Doersch / Weisbaden". The scope is a Hensoldt Wetzlar Dialyton 4X and is numbered 24345. Marked on the left side of the tube with a retailer "M. Doersch o. H.G. / Wiesbaden". The scope has a fine crosshair with center dot reticle. The optics are very good. Focusing and elevation adjustments function well. The elevation knob base is marked on the left side "Made in Germany". Fit of the scope to the mounts is good. The metal and wood show some wear and handling. There is a small crack in the stock on the left side at the end of the butt. The bore shows some wear and darkness in the grooves. There are no import markings., s/n 44xxK |
