| 35 Rem; 50% blue, Good bore, good stock, 21'' barrel, Manufactured circa 1909-1914, and after the closing of the factory, some rifles being assembled by Numrich Arms. These rifles could function as both a semi-automatic and a slide action, by closing or opening the gas port at the end of the gas tube. Bottom loading internal box magazine. Original blue finish, brass slide and buttplate with elaborate carving, mounted in a straight grip walnut stock. Stamped on top of the barrel "MAN'F'D. BY STANDARD ARMS CO./WILMINGTON, DELAWARE U.S.A.". The barrel on this example has been shortened by approximately 1 inch. The metal finish is worn with areas of browning and scattered spotting. Mechanically fine, the bore has some shine and strong rifling, showing light frost throughout. We imported this rifle from Germany and it bears our import mark on the left side of the frame.
