| 45-70 caliber; good bore, good stock, 32.5'' barrel, Original finish has turned patina overall with rust spotting and areas of scattered minor pitting. Walnut stock shows a faint instpector crtouche with 1892 date on left side of stock. 1884 breechblock date. Buffington rear sight. "U.S." stamped on top of the buttplate tang along with a stamped rack number "93".. V, P and eagleshead proofs located on the left side of the barrel. Lock is marked with the American Eagle and "SPRINGFIELD". The bore has strong rifling, showing areas of light corrosion., s/n 5488xx |
