| 45-70 GOVT; 75% blue, good bore, very good stock, 22'' barrel, Sometimes referred to as the M1890 carbine. SWP/1886 date inspector cartouche on left stock. Original blued finish round barrel with protected fixed front sight, Buffington rear sight with C mark on top of the ladder. Cashardened breechblock 1873 dated, as use thru 1887 production. Walnut stock with buttrap, 3 cleaning rod sections inside. Light script P firing proof on the bottom of the wrist. Metal finish shows some wear, speckling and minor spotting. Action functions well. The bore has shine with strong rifling, shows areas of frost and light pitting. Antique., s/n 4160xx |
