| 30-40 Krag; good bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Original Model 1899 carbine, 22" barrel with fixed front sight, M1901 rear sight with the proper humped handguard. 1901 dated cartouche on the left stock. Seldom encountered knurled round cocking piece on the bolt. Metal finish has aged mostly patina with some dark spotting. Walnut stock has a clearly legible cartouche with a faint circled script P firing proof on the bottom of the grip. Stock is overall good however there is a 1" tight crack behind the receiver tang. Handguard is a replacement in excellent condition. Bore is Good with frost in the grooves and strong rifling., s/n 3582xx |
