| 30-40 Krag; 40% blue, very good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Manufactured in 1894, this rifle has been converted to the M1896 configuration. Metal has thinned and has scattered splotching. Wood has mild handling / storage wear as well as a small splinter on the forend near receiver and is fitted with a steel trap door buttplate. Cleaning rod is not present. Bore is bright with light frost. Left side of receiver is marked, U.S. / 1894, SPRINGFIELD ARMORY, and s/n. ANTIQUE., s/n 36xx |
