| 30-40 Krag; good bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Conversion from 1898 carbine to 1899 pattern without sling bar. Walnut stock with sharp 1901 date cartouche. Sharp script circle P firing proof on bottom of wrist. 1902 rear sight is not "C" marked. Rack number "6" stamped on bottom of toe. Bottom of the stock has wood plugged areas where swivel bases were once attached. Metal has aged to mostly light grary patina. Strong bore. Tin chip on side of stock toe., s/n 3442xx |
