| 30-06 Cal; fair bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Parkerized finish, walnut stock with finger grooved forend used from an M1922 22 caliber rifle without recoil bolts. Original USGI front sight base with a Marbles #11 beaded blade. Lyman 57 SME fully adjustable rear sight bridge mounted, missing the eye aperture. Appears the stock was cutout for a Lyman 48 rear sight at one time. Checkered steel buttplate without trap. SA barrel with 3-08 date. Stock has a boxed SA/R cartouche on the left side behind the grip. Original barrel band for M1922 or 1903 NRA Sporters. The stock has a tight 1 inch crack behind the receiver tang. R marked cutoff. Straight bolt handle. Mechanically fine. The bore shows some wear, muzzle remains tight, dark with corrosion in the grooves of the rifling. C&R/FFL, s/n 2001xx |
