| Description: |
| 357 Caliber; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent grips, 4'' barrel, The postwar .357 Magnum revolver was extremely popular among law enforcement officers. Many police agencies were interested in purchasing such a weapon — except for cost. In 1954, S&W produced a new model called at the time, "Highway Patrolman". Had all desirable performance features of the deluxe Model 27 but lacked cosmetic features that drove up price. Designation changed to Model 28 in 1957. The front sight is a ramped blade, and the rear is an adjustable U notch. The left side of the pinned barrel has SMITH & WESSON, and the right side has .357 / CTG. HIGHWAY PATROLMAN the bore is mirror bright. This revolver has a very slight amount of muzzle and high edge wear. The checkered walnut grips with the S&W medallion on the top of each grip, in excellent condition., s/n S1210xx |
