| 44 Special; 99% blue, near mint bore, near mint grips, 4'' barrel, Smith & Wesson Model 1926 (1950 Military). 44 Hand Ejector Fourth Model also known as the "Pre-Model 21". Only 1200 of these made total in three barrel lengths: 4", 5", and 6-1/2". It is estimated that about 400 were produced in the 4" barrel length. Built on the square butt N-frame The sights are fixed with a square notch rear and rounded front sight. Condition is excellent with 99%+ of the original satin blue finish remaining. There is only a light cylinder turn line. There is no rust or pitting. The case colors on the hammer and trigger are vibrant. The serial numbers are matching on the frame (butt), cylinder, extractor star, yoke, and barrel. The diamond checkered grips are of the correct type, and are numbered to the revolver. Mechanically, this revolver is excellent with proper timing and solid lock-up. The bore is likewise excellent with bright, sharp rifling. It comes in the original box (box shows some shelf wear) with a factory letter which indicates this revolver was shipped to Klein's Sporting Goods Co. in Chicago on March 7, 1955.
