| 303 Savage; 70% blue, fair bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Takedown model manufactured in 1910. Original blue finish barrel. Nickel finish frame, buttplate, lever and forend catch and plate. Silver fixed front sight blade. The rear sight has been removed from the barrel and an aperature peep sight has been installed on the receiver tang, marked M.S.A.CO./ GLADSTONE, MICH./PAT. OCT. 20, 1903. Cocking indicator on the upper frame tang. Visible brass cartridge counter on the left side of the frame. Quick release sling swivels are a more recent addition. The finish on the barrel shows wear and thinning. The nickel finish parts show wear and some light spotting and is turning dull. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling however is dark throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 1101xx |
