| 300 Savage; 95% blue, very good bore, very good+ stock, 24'' barrel, G model manufactured in 1925. Old high quality blue refinish on metal.Fixed front sight with silver beaded blade. Elevation adjustable rear sight, marked "Savage Arms Corp. / Utica, N.Y. Pat-Pend". Stamped on top of the barrel in two lines with the Savage address and patent dates 1893, 1899, 1907 and 1909. Caliber designation located over the left side of the barrels chamber. Top of the receiver ring stamped "SAVAGE/1899 MODEL". Checkered walnut stock with pistol grip. Serrated steel buttplate without the "screaming Indian" logo. Cartridge counter on left side of action. Cockiing indicator on top of action. Factory drilled and tapped for apertures sight on the upper tang, plug screws installed. Mechanically fine, smooth action. Shows minor wear and handling since refinish. Bore has shine with fairly sharp rifling., s/n 2755xx |
