| 45 ACP; 55% blue, very good bore, very good grips, 5.5'' barrel, This S&W Model 1917 has a worn finish, with thinning. The consigner states it was brought back from France after the war and that the spots on the barrel are from blood from the trenches.? The left side of the barrel has S&W D.A.45 and the bottom of the barrel has UNITED STATES PROPERTY The barrel is pinned. The walnut grips are in good condition, with minor handling marks. The bottom of the grip frame has U.S. / ARMY /MODEL 1917 –No 44634 It comes with a Model 1917 US holster with a maker’s mark G.& K. / 1917/A.G. The leather is supple and the stitching intact and with leg tie leather and is in very good condition. It also has a model 1917 three pocket pouch for carrying half moon clips to load .45 ACP ammo. There are two clips still in the top pouch. The pouch is in excellent condition., s/n 446xx |
