| 32 Rimfire; fair bore, good grips, 3 3/8'' barrel, Remington's new repeating pistol, Elliot's Patent, No2 model with remnants of the original factory nickel finish, original rosewood grips. 4-shot pepperbox type pistol with rotating firing pin. The left side barrel rib is marked "MANUFACTURED BY E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION, N.Y." the right barrel rib marked "ELLIOTS PATENTS MAY 29, 1860-OCT. 1, 1861". Dark rust spotting in the areas of finish loss. Barrels are bit loose. Complete and mechanically functioning. Made circa 1863-1888. Anique, s/n 254xx |
