| 44 Remington CF; 75% blue, very good bore, good grips, 7.5'' barrel, aka "Egyptian Contract" although most were never delivered and were sold off here in the U.S. Original blued finish with most faded from the frame. Plain walnut grips, the left panel marked with a visible boxed FR inspector mark. Round barrel with fixed sight, stamped on top "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A.". The left side of the barrel is stamped with an * mark and left side of the frame stamped "R". Even light patina on areas of finish loss with scattered minor spotting. Lanyard ring on butt. Mechanically fine. Bore is bright with strong rifling, minor corrosion along the rifling grooves. Antique. |
