| 22-250 Ackley Improved; 95% blue, good bore, very good stock, 26'' barrel, Originally a US 1903-A4 snipers rifle, refinished and rebarreled, Custom Gun Shop of Newton Iowa barrel appears to be dated 3-15-65, chambered in 22-250 Ackley Improved. Mounted in a checkered walnut stock with full pistol grip, Pachmayr solid rubber pad fitted, bedding work done around the action. Timney adjustable trigger and thumb safety installed at right tang. Two piece scope bases installed with Weaver rings. A Lyman All-American 10X objective focus scope is mounted. Standard crosshair reticle with clear optics. R marked bolt has been polished with the body jeweled. Handle expertly modified for scope clearance. Shroud has had the safety housing milled down and polished bright. Spacer installed inside the magazine well with the follower replaced for the shorter cartridge. Metal and wood show some wear and handling. The bore is bright with strong rifling, but does have some minor visible corrosion. Includes a set of RCBS dies and several rounds of brass casings. There are 30 rounds of hand loaded cartridges included for component value only., s/n 34230xx |
