| 9 mm; 92% blue, 60% straw, Good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Marked on top of the toggle with the Mauser code S/42 and on top of the chamber with the date 1936. The right side of the receiver is stamped with two droop wing eagle/63 proofs and another is stamped on the left side of the barrel. Droop wing eagle military acceptance stamps appear on the right side of the receiver and barrel and on the left side of the breechbolt. The pistol is matching, including the magazine. The grips are not numbered or proofed. The original blue finish shows sharp edge and high area holstering wear, with the grip strap finish thinned to mostly a smooth gray patina. The grips show some wear to the points on the checkering with minor handling marks. The right grip panel has a 1/2 inch stress crack just above the screw.
