7.62x54R; 70% blue, good bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, The Mosin Nagant Model of 1891, built by Remington Armory 1916 to 1918, was contracted by Tzar Nicholas for the desperately lacking-for-arms Russian Army. Though approximately 77,000 M91 rifles were assembled at Remington in 1916. Further, many components which were manufactured in 1916 were later refitted and assembled throughout 1917 and 1918, both before and after the November 1917 Russian Revolution, after which all shipments to Russia were suspended. The top of the chamber is marked REMINGTON / ARMORY / 1916 / 70021 The bore is good but is dark. This rifle is a mis-match. The front sight is a blade and the rear are a tangent type. The metal finish thinning and worn, along with edge wear. And spotting. The stock has numerous small dings and compression marks. The left rear buttstock has a flaming bomb with MP/8 inside of the circle. The buttplate has patina, and the stock is cracked at the roll over., s/n 700xx
