| 7 X 57mm; Good bore, fair stock, 16'' barrel, Scarce Mexican carbine manufactured under contract by FN in Belgium. Original metal finish and walnut stock. Stamped on top of the receiver ring REPUBLICA MEXICANA over the crest consisiting of an eagle with a snake and the date 1924. All matching except the stock. Older CAI import, stamped on the barrel. A cleaning rod is present. The metal finish is mostly gone leaving some spotting. The wood has many dings and scratches, with a hairline crack behind the upper receiver tang. One of the small lock screws for the trigger guard is missing. Mechanically fine, the bore has strong rifling with frost throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 6xx |
