| 7x57mm; fair bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Scarce Mexican production, the receiver is stamped with the Mexican crest surrounded by "FABRICA NACIONAL DE ARMAS MEXICO D.F" and dated 1931. Matching serial number bolt. Other parts are not numbered. Fixed inverted V front sight, ladder rear sight. Traces of original blued finish remain on the metal, which has worn mostly gray. Beechwood stock and handguard. Replacement cleaning rod. No legible markings on the stock. The wood show many dings and dents. The handguard has a smalll crack in front of the rear sight. Buttplate is surface rusty. The bore has strong rifling, showing corrosion throughout. Tiny illegible import mark under the end of the barrel., s/n 86xx |
