| 8mm; 99% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 23.62'' barrel, EXCEPTIONAL BRNO PERSIAN CONTRACT MODEL 98/29 MAUSER BOLT ACTION RIFLE WITH MATCHING BAYONET Manufactured by the Czech gun making firm Brno under contract for the Persian government. Fixed blade front sight with protectors on the muzzle and tangent rear sights with the graduations noted in Farsi numerals. The top of the receiver ring is deeply stamped with the Persian lion and sun crest under the Pahlavi crown. The bolt handle is numbered to the receiver on top, and the underside is stamped with a circled "Z" and "N3". Mounted on a full-length pistol grip stock with matching numbers stamped on the right side of the buttstock. The rifle includes a bayonet with a 15 3/4-inch blade, 21-inch overall length, matching serial numbered pommel cap, and steel sheath. Excellent plus. 99% original blue finish remains with clear, distinct markings, no visible import marks, and minimal light handling marks overall. The stock is also excellent with few small, scattered dings, very clear markings, with and excellent stock disk and buttplate. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is excellent, s/n 63xx |
