| 9 MM; 90% blue, 80% straw, very good bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, Originally manufactured for a Dutch military contract, these pistols were manufactured before Germany invaded Holland. Most ended up being confiscated and issued to German forces. One characteristic of these pistols is the salt blued finish barrel and remainder of the gun finished in rust blued finish, as on this particular example. This pistol is from the collection of Henk Vissor of Holland. Pistol has matching serial numbers including the grips, exception being the magazine which is an ordnance replacement mag, stamped "42" at the front of the aluminum base, with an eagle/655 proof on the tail of the base. 1940 date stamped over the chamber with a 7-line Mauser banner stamped on the toggle. "RUST" safety marking. Crown/U proofs located on the left side of the receiver and breechbolt. Two eagle/655 proofs on the right side of the receiver. Metal finish is showing high point and edge wear, as well as some light handling scratches. Scattered areas of light surface spotting, heavier on the grip frame straps., s/n 28xxv, Catalog Number B-105 |
