| 8mm Mauser; 85% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 22'' barrel, WW1 vintage German Gew98 Mauser rifle, barrel shortened to length with the original fixed front sight re-installed. Tangent rear sight S/42 marked. Non-matching numbers. Metal has been painted black. Handguard added from an M1891 Mauser rifle. Walnut stock is of Spanish origin, sporterized, with the sling bar on the left side of the butt ground down. Bolt appears to be of Spanish origin as well. Used, showing wear and handling on the metal and wood. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling however is dark and frosted throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 51xx |
