| Description: |
| 9mm Luger; 95% blue, excellent bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, Pistols such as this were assembled after the end of WW2 by the French when they occupied the Mauser factories. Many ended up in the hands of U.S.G.I.'s via sale or trade. This particular pistol is from the collection of Dr. Geoffrey Sturgess. Original blue finish and checkered walnut grips. Stamped on top of the toggle with a 7-line Mauser banner, the toggle has the rounded upper edges on the center link. The numbered parts are all matching including both of the magazine. Both magazines are blue finish extruded variations with pinned aluminum bottoms. Un-proofed or numbered barrel, breechbolt and grip panels. P.08 stamped on the left side frame. An eagle/N commercial proof appears on the left side of the receiver. Rig, includes an original late war black leather holster which is in excellent original intact condition. The holster is maker code marked on the back cdg/4, and includes an original unmarked takedown tool inside the small pouch under the flap. Condition: Excellent, the metal finish showing some sharp edge and high point holster wear, along with a few scattered handling scratches. Mechanically fine with a bright sharp bore.
