| 9mm Luger; 90% blue, 50% straw, excellent bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Very rare variation M1906 model with grip safety, part of the 2nd contract of 50 pistols to the Portuguese Navy. See the book "The Mauser Parabellum 1930-1946" by Don R. Hallock and Joop Van de Kant pages 426-427. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. Matching except the grips and unmarked magazine, which is a plated sheet steel variation with unmarked aluminum bottom. The top of the toggle is stamped with a 5-line Mauser banner. Crown/U proofs. The safety marking is "SEGURANCA" and the extractor marking is "CARREGADA". The metal finish shows fairly light holster wear to the high points and edges, with slight browning on the grip frame straps. The external metal has light surface spotting over all. Internally clean with storage grease and a clean sharp bore. The grip panels show wear and handling. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 43xxv, Catalog Number B-20 |
