| 8.15x46mmR; 98% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 29'' barrel, Austrian T.S.T.V. (Tirol Standchutzen Verband). Approximately 1000 of the rifles were produced for Austrian shooting clubs in the serial range 20,000-21,000 by Mauser Oberndorf. These were new production bolt action repeating rifles (not conversions), commercial grade using the best available wood for stocks and finishing methods. Original blued finish and figured walnut stock and handguard. The bolt body is not numbered, and bolt components and bolt release are non-matching. The rear sight does match the rifle. Remaining metal parts were not usually numbered. Mauser Banner located on top of the receiver bridge. The left side of the receiver ring is marked with crown/B, U, G and N proofs. The Austrian Eagle crest appears on top of the reciever over "T.S.T.V.". Standard fixed inverted V front sight. Rear tangent sight with windage adjustment, graduated for 100, 175, and 300 meters. The metal finish is bright and even overall with the slightest of sharp edge wear mainly on the trigger guard bow. The wood has nice figure, with scattered small dings.
