| 9mm Luger; 80% blue, 10% straw, Good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, This rare pistol is one of approximately 30 from a Portuguese Navy third contract, in a reported serial number range 6942w-6962w. Original blue finish, strawed small parts and fitted with checkered black plastic grips. The numbered parts are all matching including the magazine, which is an extruded blue steel variation with pinned aluminum bottom. The top of the toggle is stamped with a 7-line Mauser banner logo and the top of the chamber is stamped with the date 41. Eagle/N proofs appear on the end of the front sight base and left side of the receiver and breechbolt. The safety area on the left side of the toggle housing is marked SEGURANCA and the extractor is marked CARREGADA. Condition: The metal finish shows edge and high point holstering wear with scattered minor surface spotting. The finish on the grip frame straps has turned mostly patina. The straw color on the small parts has faded dark with trace color. The grips show light wear and handling. Mechanically fine. The bore has shine and strong rifling, showing some light corrosion along the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 69xxw, Catalog Number B-14 |
