THESE WERE MANUFACTURED AS GEWEHR 98s THAT POST WWI WERE CONVERTED TO KAR 98 CONFIGURATION. THE RECEIVER AND STOCK MARKINGS INDICATE THIS RIFLE WENT TO SPAIN DURING THEIR CIVIL WAR PERIOD. THE BRIGHT BLUING SHOWS LIGHT FRECKLING ON THE BARREL AND RECEIVER. THE BORE IS HEAVILY WORN WITH OXIDATION PRESENT. THE STOCK IS SOLID SHOWING VERY LIGHT WEAR.
