| 30-30 Winchester; 95% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 24'' barrel, Manufactured in 1952 this Marlin 336A lever-action rifle in .30-30 Win. Serial number – J12942. This rifle is in excellent condition with bright bore and almost no handling marks. This rifle also features a JM stamp. This 336A features the very cool “waffle top” receiver, which was a feature of the 336 from its introduction until 1952. It’s a term used by Marlin collectors and shooters and instantly establishes a 336’s vintage bona fides. The wavy pattern embellishing the top of the receiver was thought to reduce glare while using the original open sights. The front sight is a beaded blade, and the rear barrel sight is a flip up U notch. It is also equipped with a Lyman 66 La adjustable peep sight. The forearm and buttstock are in excellent condition with almost no handling marks. Overall excellent condition., s/n J129xx |
