| 44 Remington Magnum; 98% blue, excellent bore, excellent stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1972 by Marlin and is chambered for a .44 Rem. Mag. It is a MOD 1894 Octagon Barrel. The rifle appears in almost like new condition. ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT OF THE POST-1950 MARLINS IS THIS 1894 “OCTAGON RIFLE” .44 MAGNUM This is a pre-safety model manufactured in limited numbers and almost never encountered today. This example with correct 20" octagon barrel is in near new condition inside and out with only the most minor or handling marks in the nicely figured walnut stock and forend. The bottom of the buttstock has two small holes , only one with an insert., s/n 721233xx |
