The barrel at the receiver is engraved. The hammer and upper and lower tang, and the top of the butt plate are engraved also. The walnut stock is checkered at the wrist. It also is carved with a scroll design on the forearm on both sides below the receiver. The stock has a piece of wood missing at the toe.
