| 7.65x53mm; fair bore, good stock, 22.25'' barrel, 1891 Argentine Mauser rifle, barrel shortened to length along with the stock. The metal has been refinished in a matte black. Receiver crest has been ground. The stock has been sanded and stained. Handguard has been attached using replaced copper wire. The right side of the receiver is retains the original markings "MAUSER MODELO ARGENTINO 1891 / MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN". The barrel, receiver, bolt and floor plate are matching. The bolt has been refinished with the handle turned down and swept back. It appears the original front sight has been used and sweated to the muzzle, metal capped forend tip, with a barrel band fabricated to fit the end of the stock, around the sight base, held in place by the sight base. There are signs of some wood filler here and there and a small crack behind the receiver tang. The bore shows some wear to the rifling and is semi-bright., s/n D92xx |
