| 8MM Kurz; 98% blue, Good bore, very good stock, 23.5'' barrel, This rifle has been professionally rebarreled and refinished to near mint condition and fitted up as an example of a Kreigsmodell rifle. The receiver is stamped on top with the maker code bcd (Gustloff Werke) and date code 43, along with an eagle/749 proof which has had the swaz at the bottom of the eagle peened. The left side of the receiver ring is stamped with the serial number and an eagle/swaz military acceptance mark, again the swaz has been peened at the bottom of the eagle. The bolt has been re-numbered on top of the shank to match with the last three digits of the serial number. The bottom of the bolt handle shank is stamped with an eagle/26 proof. There are no other numbered or proofed parts except the stamped floorplate which is eagle/214 proofed. Stamped trigger guard marked on the front tang qnw. The magazine follower is stamped on top "KURZ". Stamped upper and lower bands are screw kept. No provision for a cleaning rod. Laminated stock and handguard, the handguard is numbered but not matching, the stock is not numbered internally nor does it have an external numbers or proofs. The barrel is not marked. Includes the attached reproduction leather sling. Mechanically fine. The rifle was fired evidently using surplus 8mm Kurz ammunition and left uncleaned, the bore has some surface rusting throughout.
